Mohsen Omrani

Dr. Omrani graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) as a Medical Doctor (MD) in 2004. He was an associate researcher in the School of Cognitive Sciences (SCS), Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (IPM) from 2001 to 2007.

His research focused mostly on sensory-motor transformation in a joint work between IPM in Iran and SISSA in Italy. He further received a PhD in 2015 from Queen’s University making contributions to the understanding of the organization of bimanual reaching movement and more specifically, how an optimal feedback controller might explain bimanual coupling. Mohsen has received a large number of research accolades such as the Vanier award which is of Canada’s most prestigious scholarships for doctoral students.

Mohsen is passionate about technology and its use to make life better for all others. He uses his wide-ranging expertise in medicine, neurology, and consumer electronics and applications to design tools for home and office alike.
